Biography

Growing up a Latchkey Kid, Bolton-Klinger took full advantage of her parentless free time and began a steady diet of General Hospital, the music video for Thriller, and basic cable screenings of Footloose, which helped sharpen her pop culture laden wit and love for film and television.
A performer in the world called life, she got her first taste of leadership and social activism at age 15, when a set of ugly braces, bad hair and unsightly shoulder pads somehow got her elected President of her sophomore class. Later, “riveting” and “totally rad” speeches about the need for bipartisan politics amongst the jocks and the nerds, won rousing support from her fellow classmates. She took home the gold and was elected President for the remaining years of high school.
Post college her love of movies led her to the master of low budget, Roger Corman, where she worked on such straight to DVD classics as No Dessert Dad, ‘Til You Mow the Lawn and The Unborn 3. This is where you can begin to see her one-(wo)man-creative-band™ skill set being called into action, as she acted as PA, Craft Services and Body Double, playing “Leg” attacked by barely mechanical or menacing doll and “Hand” stabbing said doll.
A few years later the love of movie making took a backseat as she heeded the call of the television gods, and moved to New York City, with its bright lights, crappy railroad apartments and tube sock laden street fairs. A stint at MTV in their On-Air Promos department served as her graduate school for directing. This is where she honed her strong sensibility for unique characters and dialogue as she made mini-movies touting the awesomeness of the channel.
Throw in a few years of commercial directing, world traveling, launching a television network for techie gamers, beating cancer, being hired for her creative prowess by some of the best brands out there, writing a book on social activism and a handful of comedic screenplays, and…. you’ve arrived at now.
